GIZ

PROGRAMME FOR SUSTAINABLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT (PSED) – Migration and Employment
In 2017 the She Hub Ghana, in collaboration with the National Board for Small Scale Industries (NBSSI), successfully trained 8,000 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), returnees, and potential migrants in Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy across Ghana. The initiative placed a strong emphasis on empowering women and youth, particularly in the Ashanti, Brong-Ahafo, and Greater Accra regions.
GHANA DIGITAL AND INNOVATION WEEK (GDIW 2024) KUMASI EDITION
The Ghana Digital and Innovation Week (GDIW) 2024 Kumasi Edition was a premier event organized by The She Hub Ghana, under the auspices of the Digital Transformation for Inclusive Entrepreneurship in Ghana (DTEG) initiative by GIZ Ghana. The GDIW 2024 Kumasi Edition aimed to foster dialogue, showcase innovation, and promote digital transformation as a key enabler for inclusive entrepreneurship in Ghana. By bringing together stakeholders from various sectors, the event created a platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and showcasing cutting-edge innovations that empower women, youth, and marginalized groups to thrive in a digital economy

WORLD BANK PROJECT

GHANA JOBS AND SKILLS PROJECT
The She Hub in partnership with KPMG implemented the YouStart Ghana Jobs and Skills Project sponsored by the World Bank and the Government of Ghana to train some 15,000 youth in the five northern regions and Oti region. The initiative is a 4-year intervention which started in 2022.
NATIONAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND INNOVATION PROGRAMME-NEIP ENTREPRENEURIAL & ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT FOR WOMEN
The She Hub Ghana, in collaboration with the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) implemented the entrepreneurial and enterprise development support for women programme. The intervention sort to organize a series of training sessions designed to equip dressmakers, hairdressers, beauticians, and female entrepreneurs with essential business and financial management skills. Participants were educated on how to engage with financial institutions and it focused on increasing awareness and matching women participants to financial institutions.

USAID

USAID-FinGAP (Financing Ghanaian Agricultural Project)
The She Hub, in collaboration with USAID-FinGAP, advanced financial inclusion for rice, maize, and millet farmers by providing targeted training and technical assistance. The project strengthened the capacities of 5,000 out-growers, empowering them to overcome barriers to accessing finance and enhancing their participation in the agricultural value chain.

Mastercard Foundation

BUSINESS IN A BOX (BIZBOX) PROJECT
The BizBox Project, a partnership and co-creation between the MasterCard Foundation and Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA), aims to create 250,000 jobs for Ghanaian youth by 2027, prioritizing 70% women and 10% Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). The She Hub Ghana, as an implementing partner, focuses on providing capacity development and equipping Business Development Service (BDS) providers to support beneficiaries effectively. Key Components:
• Apprenticeship to Entrepreneurship (A2E): Train 75,000 youth and women through skilled craft persons, providing practical training and start-up kits.
• Agric and Agribusiness to Entrepreneurship (AA2E): Train 125,000 youth in agribusiness through farm institutes and colleges using Competency-Based Training (CBT).
• MSME Business Acceleration (MBA): Support 50,000 MSMEs with productivity and quality improvement to achieve growth and sustainability.
YOUNG AFRICA WORKS
Co-created with the National Board for Small Scale Industries to implement the Young Africa Works (YAW) Project across the sixteen regions of Ghana. The programme empowered over 39,000 youth across the country. The Young Africa Works (YAW) project is an entrepreneurship development and employment program targeted at young people in Ghana. Components of the projects were;

• Apprenticeship to Entrepreneurship (A2E): Under this component, approximately 12,000 unskilled youth were supported to transition into self-employment through the Apprenticeship to Entrepreneurship

(A2E) program. Participants received hands-on training , start up kits and mentorship to launch and manage their own businesses.

• MSME Business Acceleration: This initiative focuses on accelerating the growth and productivity of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), with a particular emphasis on women-owned and women-led businesses. The program aims to address key barriers such as limited networking opportunities, restricted access to markets, and challenges in securing financing. A total of 2,000 MSMEs are being supported to achieve sustainable growth.

• Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship: This component is designed to transform young men and women into successful entrepreneurs. Beneficiaries receive training and support to develop innovative thinking and creative business solutions, equipping them to thrive in competitive markets.

WERise

THE WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS RISE NETWORK (WERise))
The She Hub launched the WERise Network during the third biennial Ghana Women Entrepreneurs Summit in April 2022. WERise the largest female entrepreneur’s platform exists to serve as a professional community of successful women from all walks of life, to share growth and challenges, create partnerships and form collaborations.

The She Hub, in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation and the Ghana Enterprises Agency, launched the Yenze Ghana Mall. This initiative provides market access for beneficiaries of the Business in a Box Project, empowering young entrepreneurs and supporting local businesses through increased visibility and sales opportunities.

SKILLS TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

Beading Masterclass for Skilled Crafts Person

The She Hub Ghana, in partnership with a group of skilled artist-trainers, recently organized a hands-on training program for aspiring craftspersons in the art of bead making. Participants were guided through key concepts such as colour theory, pattern design, and professional finishing techniques. By the end of the workshop, they had gained the skills and confidence to create their own handcrafted bracelets and anklets and, more importantly, the inspiration to turn their creativity into sustainable businesses. The She Hub Ghana team provided not only the necessary materials and mentorship but also a supportive platform where creativity met opportunity, empowering participants to take the next step in their entrepreneurial journey.

Skills Upgrade Session for Hairdressers and Beauticians in the Kumasi-Central Zone

The She Hub Ghana, in collaboration with the District Assembly, organized a skill upgrade session for Hairdressers and Beauticians in the Kumasi-Central Zone. The focus of the training was sewing-machine wig-making a faster, neater, and more profitable technique that equips local stylists with a competitive edge. From machine basics to finishing techniques, participants learned how to create custom wig units, stitching their first pieces with pride and precision. By the end of the session, they were not only equipped with a new skill but also empowered to offer a modern, high-demand service in their salons. It was a powerful moment where creativity and entrepreneurship came together.

Financial and Digital Literacy for women in Agribusiness and Vocational Trades

The She Hub Ghana, in partnership with Telecel Ghana Foundation, rolled out a dynamic training series focused on financial and digital literacy for women in agribusiness and vocational trades. This high-energy initiative empowered participants with practical tools for smarter money management, mobile-based bookkeeping, and effective social media marketing. Through hands-on sessions, these women gained the skills needed to scale their businesses, improve financial tracking, and tap into new markets with confidence and strategy.

ACCESS TO MENTORING AND COACHING ​

At She Hub, we connect our clients with like-minded, successful entrepreneurs who have overcome similar challenges and now serve as mentors and sources of inspiration. These mentors provide practical guidance and share best practices to help our beneficiaries grow their businesses sustainably. Our coaching approach is rooted in empathy we do not judge or make beneficiaries feel inadequate. Instead, we offer supportive, personalized business coaching using our tailored Business Development Support (BDS) system, as outlined above.

MOBILE BUSINESS CLINICS

The Mobile Business Clinics serve as a dynamic learning platform designed to support the growth of agribusinesses across Ghana. Through this initiative, the project successfully built the capacity of approximately 2,500 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating within the agricultural value chain.
